Grove Road

Design and Build Contractor : George Busch Carpentry

This rear extension to a Victorian terrace in East London added a significant amount of floor space and volume to the family home. The vaulted space was formed using a lightweight steel frame which maximized the glazing in the façade letting in as much natural lighting as possible.

A client led design feature was to form a suspended corner from the rear and flank walls of the existing masonry building. We did so by cantilevering the steel beams from a post which was incorporated into the kitchen worktop design.
