Warehouse Conversions
Since the 2012 Olympics the former industrial neighbourhood Hackney Wick has undergone large-scale development, with residential blocks, breweries and commercial units built in and around the original industrial buildings.
RW Structures has been working on the conversion of existing commercial warehouses into workshops, design studios and storage spaces. Originally designed solely for industrial usage, with large ground floor footprints and ceiling heights, these masonry buildings have deteriorated under heavy loadings and are typically in need of full refurbishment and fit-out.
After multiple commissions we have become adept at repairing the existing structures, adding mezzanine floors to maximize the vertical space and creating new openings within the structural walls to allow access and natural lighting into the newly built units.
